Make Exercise part of your Beauty Routine!

When you want to look your best and stand out in the crowd, you fuss to be sure every hair is in place and your makeup and outfit are flawless. There’s a hidden factor to looking fabulous though: your health. Without the proper nutrition, enough sleep, and regular exercise every body needs, looking your best is an uphill battle. Here are some tips to boost your personal beauty routine.

Eat right. Use your common sense and balance your diet. Basically this means go heavy on the fruits and vegetables and easy on the fats and sweets, and make sure you drink plenty of water. Eight glasses a day is a good rule of thumb, but learn your own body’s signs and drink as much as you need.

Sleep is vital because it’s the time your body rejuvenates and replenishes what it needs. Everyone’s sleep needs are different but the rule of thumb is eight hours. If you tend to drag in the afternoon a 20 minute nap might give you a quick pick-me-up, or you might need to hit the sack an hour earlier than other people.

Exercise keeps your body in shape in more ways than one. Getting enough exercise may prevent injuries and sickness because your body works better when your heart and oxegen rates are at their optimum. Find an exercise routine that you enjoy: some people enjoy working out with others at a gym, some prefer using a machine such as a Bowflex in the privacy of their home. Walking, running, and other types of exercise are great; the idea is to get your blood pumping. Try for 20 minutes a day minimum and you’ll be amazed at how great you feel!

You don’t have to try and change your lifestyle overnight, either. Try adding a salad to your evening meal every day and skipping fast food for starters. Turn off the TV an hour earlier at night. Start walking around the block in the morning or after work three times a week. The main thing is to make positive changes to benefit your health, and in just a few weeks you’ll begin to see a healthy glow smiling back in your mirror!
